My name is Andrew Katz, but at Frederator Studios where I have been interning the past two months I adopted the nickname Slow Jam.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this internship, and I was actually most nervous about commuting to the NYC from Connecticut (I used to never be able to find the subway, until I learned it’s underground).
I am glad to say, or in this case to type, that my internship has been both informative and hands-on. I have learned about social media and running a YouTube channel, and have done things such as annotated videos, made GIFs, and run the company’s Vine.
It was the openness and expertise of the people that work at Frederator Studios that made this internship so valuable. This experience also made me realize how broad the opportunities for filmmakers have become with YouTube.
Best of all, when I completed my internship, they gave me an iPad to keep. No they didn’t. But they should have.
